Aug. 7 @ Lil' Red Lion - Eureka, CA

So we jetted from Pat's pretty early....sometime around 8:30 in the morning. The drive to Eureka was beautiful.......lots of driving through amazing redwoods with windy roads and high altitudes.....at one point we were actually above the clouds and gave the illusion that we were actually flying!

Good times.....

Since we left so early, we managed to have time to stroll over to a beach in Trinidad.....which is 11 miles north of Eureka. That place is beautiful......totally surreal....

We took lots of pics next to huge rocks and the beautiful ocean. Dave made friends with 2 super cute doggies. After some time chillin' at the beach, we headed to the venue. We got there and loaded in, went to grab a slice of pizza, and then folks started showing up. Dave does a lot of business up here so we had quite a nice crowd. This was probably our biggest show yet........sold some cds and merch and made some decent money.

After the show, the bartender hooked us up with free beers, Willa bought me a couple of whiskey shots and the second half of the night began. We headed over to this really cool bar called the Shante. Good times....the place was pretty bumping. We closed down the bar down, found a place to crash, and engaged in a few more beers. I quickly faded........

It was one of those mornings.......

Step 1: eyes open
Step 2: ask yourself "where the fuck am i?"
Step 3: answer: "let's get the fuck outta here."

Dave and I took about 4 minutes to gather our things and scoot out the door.......and we were running late to hit Portland in time for our show. Thanks for the great night Eureka! Thanks to Suzanne, Bella, Willa, Mike, Ben, Will and the rest of the gang. Thanks for coming out.....

Off to Portland, OR to play Rock Bottom Brewery!
