San Francisco was a great time......i love this city. It's Dave's homeland.....so we spent a lot of time with him showing me around his hood. We ran around town quite a bit and took in quite a few sites. We even had time to do laundry, which was awesome, because apparently to Bill Austin we're stinky motherfuckers. It was a pleasure meeting Dave's friend Ed who came out to meet us for some brews. This dude is awesome.......he ran around collecting tips for us, sold our merch, introduced us, bought us a shot.......nuff said. There was a couple of lovely ladies that came up from Fairfax to see the show, which is fuckin' awesome. Michelle, thank you for the beers and I hope to find your poetry and writings online... (sorry, i forgot the website). We sold a couple cds, got paid our guarantee, and had enough drinks to head out for the night. The show was totally fun and everyone seemed to dig it......especially the creepy asian dude that kept jammim' on Dave's shit.
Unwed Fathers was established in 2007 and is currently based in Austin, TX. Founded by vocalist/guitarist David Olvera (ex-Games and Theory), the singer songwriter project started with a voice and an acoustic guitar. Later other musician friends joined in to help round out the sound. Unwed Fathers performs every first Friday at Thunderbird Coffee on Manor Rd in Austin.
