We strolled into Eugene sometime around 5:30 or so and made our way to the venue for a sec. We got the low down from the owner and such and were ready to get the show on the road. However, we were waiting around for 2 Portland bands to show up, the Hugs and 1776. So, with a little time to kill, we called up our buddy and honorary Unwed Father, Seth. Also, made an attempt to contact my old amiga Rosalee. We got a hold of Seth, who was waking up from a nap, and during our brief conversation demanded we eat food. With that said, we kicked back and had a beer while we waited for Seth. We were trying to get lodging, the band money, and more squared away, etc. Shortly after that Seth arrived and we decided to grub down at a Pho place in the city. The food was good and we were being silly in the restaurant.........Seth saw some friends and tried to get them out to the show. After filling ourselves with lots of food, we headed back to the venue and found that the little ones from Portland had showed up. I had to catch up on phone conversations as i finally had service again after a couple of days in Cali without it. After getting off the phone, i made my way into the bar to check out 1776.....i missed the Hugs while i was on the phone. 1776 was pretty good...they were young Portland kids playing a type of southern rock with guitar harmonies. Pretty good for some youngsters. I was really glad that Rosalee showed up. So good to see her! We had beers, Seth bought us lots of shots and our bartender kept feeding us Jager and such. It all made for a great night and we had a blast playing. I also met the other Dave from Commodity, which made this trip nice. Thanks to all of you for supporting us in Eugene and coming out. After the show the bartender, whose name i never got, hooked us up with more drinks and played us some great blues on the record player. We packed up our stuff and headed out to Rosalee's, where were able to crash for the night. That was a total adventure.......she built a fort in the backyard and it was fun to crash outside in the beautiful weather. Thank you all for everything and thanks for buying our cd. I hope you enjoy it!
